Goethe-Institut Australia aims to encourage and support the teaching of German in primary and secondary schools, at universities, and at colleges and institutes of adult education. The Goethe-Institut cooperates closely with other partners in Australia. The Goethe-Institut Australia provides support services for the teaching of German, supply information on new teaching methods, material, examinations and on how to promote the German language. They provide easy access to present-day Germany with up-to-date information on all aspects of life in the Federal Republic. The Goethe-Institut also arranges in-service training courses on teaching methods and German background studies both in Australia and in Germany.
