NGV: European Masters (Städel)

Opening this winter, European Masters: Städel Museum, 19th - 20th Century will come to the National Gallery of Victoria as part of the highly successful Melbourne Winter Masterpieces series.

AGTV Network Leaders Conference (09:00)
The Executive of the Association of German Teachers of Victoria Inc (AGTV) invite the AGTV Network Leaders twic yearly to a conference to further develop collaborative partnerships with teachers of German throughout Victoria in promoting the teaching and learning of German.  As well as evaluating projects and initiatives, ideas and resources are shared and there is specific professional development for Network Leaders. The conference is funded with a grant from the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development to the AGTV and is also attended by representatives of the Goethe-Institut Australia's office in Melbourne. The AGTV fund ovenight accommodation, venue hire and catering, and contribute significant funds towards CRT replacement.

NSW Year 11 Student German Day (08:45 - 14:45)
Year 11 German students will:
  • have a full day of immersion in the target language
  • engage in a variety of activities using German
  • be exposed to teaching strategies and have an opportunity to gather material prepared by a variety of German teachers
  • benefit from networking with students from other schools and measure their ability against that of their peers
  • share an authentic German lunch in a social setting

Format:
  • a maximum of 100 students from a selection of schools will be in attendance
  • students will be placed in groups composed of representatives from different schools with approximately 12 students per group
  • teachers are requested to accompany their classes and prepare an activity of about half an hour’s duration
  • work stations will be set up and groups will move to the next activity each half hour.
  • morning tea and lunch will be provided
