German Teachers' Network Süd

• We meet at least once a term
• We support each other via email in order to achieve a high standard of German language teaching
• We organize each year a German language competition for students learning German
• We have a huge resource collection located at Learning Services South, 26-28 Lampton Ave, Derwent Park (mail: GPO Box169, Hobart, 7001, open Mo to Fri, 8.15 am - 5 pm. • Twice a year teachers can take part in professional development training supported by the Goethe Institute in Melbourne
• Members have the opportunity to apply for a grant in order to enhance their teaching program (submissionformnetzwerk2010).
• Members are actively involved in the MLTAT (Modern Languages Teachers’ Association of Tasmania)
• We select high school students for Goethe Institute scholarships
• We contribute articles to SZENE, the National Journal for Teachers of German
